Lavender Syrup

Servings 8 oz

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (100ml) water
  • 1/2 cup (100g) cane sugar
  • 6 sprigs lavender flowers, or 2 tsp dried lavender flowers

Instructions

  1. Pour the sugar and water into a sauce pan and stir.
  2. Bring the sugar and water to a simmer and cook until the sugar dissolves. This should take no more than 5 minutes.
  3. Stir gently until the syrup is smooth.

  4. Stir the lavender into the syrup.

  5. Allow the syrup to cool completely before using. Store it inside a clean airtight container (preferably glass) for up to a week room temperature, or up to a month in the refrigerator.
