Greek Mountain Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch (3g to 5g) fresh Greek Mountain Tea Mint, a combination of leaves, flowers, and/or stems
  • 2 cups (200ml) boiling water

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fresh mountain tea leaves and flowers in vegetable wash or 1:4 ratio of vinegar and water to remove any dirt, debris, and insects.

  2. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a kettle.
  3. Once the water comes to a boil, pour the tea into a tea pot or kettle and steep the mountain tea for 5 to 10 minutes.

  4. Add honey to taste.
  5. If necessary, strain the tea using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove any remaining leaf or flower bits.

  6. Serve the fresh mountain tea hot.
