When you’re feeling the heat, the best remedy is a cool, refreshing smoothie. This Banana Piña Colada became one of my favorites early this summer because it’s super easy to make and tastes amazing.

As much as I prefer to use all natural ingredients, I am a sucker for coconut extracts and compounds, which give desserts and drinks that “Malibu Rum” flavor. I do use it in this drink and it gives the smoothie an extra dimension of flavor that coconut milk alone does not.

Blender, Nutribullet, or Ninja
Banana Piña Colada Smoothie
- 1 banana
- 1 cup (225g) frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/4 cup (60ml) pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup (60ml) coconut milk
- 1 tsp coconut extract
Place all of the ingredients in a blender, Ninja, or Nutribullet. Blend on high speed until the contents are smooth and creamy.
