Imagine a dark, golden brown crust, bubbling mozzarella cheese, dark green herbs, and an assortment of meaty toppings. Can you smell it yet? Can you taste it yet? Behold this baked beauty loaded with bacon, Italian sausage, and pepperoni!
Meat Lovers Pizza is one of my favorite pizzas to serve at parties. Italian sausage, pepperoni, and bacon make an amazing savory and salty combination. I usually make this pizza with homemade crust or store bought crust from Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s, but use your favorite premade dough.
WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS RECIPE
- Three-meat pizza
- Flavorful with Italian herbs
- Versatile with any homemade or store-bought pizza dough
I used Fresh Italian Seasoning to season this pizza, but you can use dried seasoning from your local store. They both offer different flavors, but they are equally delicious!
The fresh Italian seasoning is strong in flavor with a wonderful herbaceous touch. I used hot and spicy oregano, barbeque rosemary, curly parsley, and lemon balm thyme to create this fresh seasoning blend. You can use any fresh variety of herbs you may have on hand such as Greek oregano, tuscan blue rosemary, Italian parsley, or English Thyme.

Meat Lovers Pizza
Ingredients
- 16 oz pizza dough
- 1 cup (225g) tomato sauce
- 6 oz (170g) whole milk mozzarella
- 15 pepperoni slices
- 4 oz sweet Italian sausage, cooked and chopped into pieces
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- red pepper flakes to taste, optional
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 550°F (285°C).
-
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 16” round disk. Be careful not to create any holes. If you are having trouble getting the dough to keep its shape, dust the top of the dough with flour as you stretch it.
-
If using a pizza stone, dust the surface with cornmeal. If using a pizza pan or sheet pan, rub a small amount of olive oil on the surface.
-
Lay the dough over your desired pan, and par bake the dough for 8 to 10 minutes or until pale tan. If the dough begins to balloon up, poke the bubbles with a skewer or knife.
-
Remove the pan from the oven and top the dough with the sauce. Top the pizza evenly with mozzarella.
-
Top the pizza with pepperoni slices, sausage, and bacon. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
-
Dust the top with the Italian seasoning.
-
Place the pizza back into the oven and bake for another 10 to 12 minutes. The pizza is ready when the cheese bubbles slightly and the crust has browned at the bottom. Use a metal spatula to check underneath the pizza for browning.
-
Allow the pizza to cool for at least three minutes before slicing.
